Promoted Answers may be paused for one or more of the following reasons:
The business name is "misleading."
The business name used to promote your answer must be mentioned in the answer itself.
This can be an explicit mention of your business or a credential including your business's name (ex. "Alex, Ads Specialist at Quora"). Users promoting their own answers can use their Quora user name in place of a business name.
To change your business name, go to the Edit Ad page in your Ads Manager.
The answer was resubmitted for review.
If you make a change to your ad or answer, the Promoted Answer will be re-reviewed by our moderators. During this time, the ad will be paused.
If you edit an answer that's being used in multiple Promoted Answers, all of the ads will be paused until they're re-reviewed.
The question was edited ("Distribution Restricted").
When users suggest edits to a question, the edited question is submitted for review. Until the question is approved, distribution of the question and its answers will be restricted.
Advertisers with existing Promoted Answers will not have to change their answers. Ad delivery will resume automatically once the question is approved. For advertisers planning to use Promoted Answers, please wait until the question is approved (approximately 6 hours) before reaching out to Ad Support.
The answer was removed or collapsed.
Promoted Answers will be paused if they are removed by the original author or Quora Moderation.
If you are promoting an answer written by another user, you must work with the user to reinstate it.
For answers removed or collapsed by Quora Moderation, please ensure that you adhere to Quora's content policies. It is possible for an answer to be approved as an ad by the ad review team, but Quora Moderation will have final authority over content moderation. When an answer is collapsed this way, the specific policy that applies is always visible on the answer, and the author will be notified.
For questions about moderation decisions, you can submit an appeal here.
The answer needs improvement to be helpful.
Answers that are downvoted, or otherwise aren’t helpful in addressing a question, may be collapsed until they are edited.
Answers are collapsed for this reason based on a variety of signals — votes, the credibility of the voters, the credibility of the author, the quality of the writing, etc. For more information, visit What kinds of answers on Quora are not helpful? If your answer was collapsed as "needing improvement," consider how you can edit the answer to make it more helpful.
In most cases, editing answers to improve them may result in an automatic uncollapse.
The answer is a duplicate.
When questions are merged, duplicate answers by the same writer may be collapsed so that only one answer per person appears on a page.
