Update as of October 27, 2022:
Due to regulations imposed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), your Quora Ads account may be suspended after experiencing failed transactions if you are using credit or debit cards issued in India. To prevent accounts from being suspended, we now allow prepaid credit to be added to your Quora Ads account. Keeping your Quora Ads account topped-up with credit is the best way to avoid accidental suspension of your account due to failed transactions.
To get started:
- Visit the billing history or the payment settings page in your ad account
- Click on ‘Add Prepaid Credit’ and enter the amount you wish to load your account with
- The minimum amount is the equivalent of 5 USD (360 INR), but if there’s an outstanding balance on the account, funds must be added to cover the balance. The maximum amount that can be added is the equivalent to 2000 USD at the prevailing exchange rate, plus the current outstanding balance.
- Once the amount is loaded, you can start your ads.

Due to regulations imposed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), your Quora Ads account may experience failed transactions if you are using credit or debit cards issued in India. Our team is actively working on a resolution.
Meanwhile, if your account was suspended for failed payments, visit the Billing History page of your Ads Manager and click “Retry Payment.” Once you click on the button, you may be redirected to a 2-factor authentication window to enter an OTP to approve your payment. If your payment continues to fail, contact your card provider/bank to ensure Quora transactions have been approved. Once your payment is approved, your account suspension will be automatically lifted and campaigns will reactivate.

Due to regulations imposed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Quora Ads accounts using credit or debit cards in India may experience changes to their billing.
As of October 1st, 2021, your bank will notify you 24 hours ahead of any recurring credit and debit card payments. Users will also be asked to cancel or continue their subscriptions. To learn more about these regulations, click here.
For charges above ₹5,000, you must contact your bank and get prior approval for Quora to charge your payment card. Banks will not process transactions without customers’ explicit consent, which could result in a suspension of your Quora Ads account. Suspended accounts will have all campaigns paused.
If your account was suspended for failed payments, visit the Billing History page of your Ads Manager and click “Retry Payment.” If your payment continues to fail, contact your card provider and bank to ensure Quora has been approved. Once your payment is approved, your account suspension will be automatically lifted and campaigns will reactivate.
