From the ad set level, businesses can specify geographic locations they wish to target or exclude. This includes countries, states, cities, Nielsen® DMA® (Designated Market Areas) regions and zip codes.
Locations can be added individually in the “Included Locations” search bar, or through the “Bulk Add” button. The same applies when excluding locations. If no target locations are specified, ads will be distributed globally.
Is there a cap on the number of locations I can target?
Yes, each ad set can support up to 1,700 locations. Please note that a suggested bid may not populate if the number of potential impressions (located under “Summary”) is in the high millions.
I'm targeting zip codes in the United States. How do I avoid targeting international postal codes that overlap?
If you are adding American zip codes through the “Included Locations” search bar, they may overlap with international postal codes. A workaround for this is to use the "Bulk Add" tool to target zip codes. Using this tool allows you to specify the country your zip codes are from.
