Advertisers can specify the geographic locations they would like their ad sets to target or exclude. This includes countries, states, cities, Nielsen® DMA® (Designated Market Areas) regions and zip codes.
Locations can be added individually in the “Target Locations” search bar, or through the “Add Locations” button. The same applies when excluding locations. If no target locations are specified, ads will be distributed globally.
Is there a cap on the number of locations I can target?
Yes, each ad set can support up to 1,700 locations. Please note that a suggested bid may not populate if the number of potential impressions (located under “Summary”) is in the high millions.
I'm targeting specific zip codes in the United States. Why do my “Add Locations” results show foreign countries?
American zip codes may overlap with international postal codes. A workaround for this is to target by city or exclude any non-US countries that appear.
