To run an App Install campaign on Quora, you must be integrated with one of our mobile measurement partners (MMPs): Adjust, AppsFlyer, Branch, Kochava, or Singular. The following breaks down how Quora’s App Install campaigns differ from other campaigns you might run on Quora.
Campaign Level
Once you integrate with one of our partners, you will create a new campaign and select "App Installs" as your campaign objective. This will automatically remove desktop targeting from your campaigns’ ad sets, and ads in your App Install campaign will feature a custom "Get the App" call-to-action.
Ad Set Level
App Install campaigns can use the standard targeting and bidding options available on Quora Ads, with the exception of desktop targeting which is automatically removed.
For businesses targeting both Android and iOS devices, we recommend having separate ad sets for each device type. After you build an ad set for you device, you can duplicate ad sets and adjust their targeting and ads accordingly.
Ad Level
MMPs will provide tracking (or redirect) links that you will use when creating your ads.
Different mobile devices have different set-up requirements, so it is important to add your URLs correctly.
- Android: Copy-and-paste your MMP’s tracking link into the “Landing page url” field.
- iOS devices: Add your App Store link into the “Landing page url” field. Under “Third party tracking”, click “Add a Tracker” and select “Clicks.” Copy-and-paste your MMP’s tracking link into the corresponding field.
Due to SKAdNetwork’s 100-campaign limit, advertisers are limited to 100 ads per iOS app (across all accounts). Note that Apple has a 24-48 hour postback delay, so we recommend waiting 72 hours after you pause an ad before deleting it. This gives Apple time to deliver install attribution information to Quora.
