The video ad setup process will vary depending on if you are optimizing your campaign for:
Performance Campaigns
Structure your Campaign and Ad Set as usual. When you get to the the individual Ad setup page, you will see a format option for “Video Ad.”
Similar to an image ad, you will specify business name, logo, headline, body text, call-to-action. You can then upload a video and add a landing page URL.
Once your video finishes uploading, the preview will display on the righthand side, similar to an image ad.
Brand Awareness Campaigns
For brand awareness campaigns, we recommend you specify Video Views as your campaign objective. This objective will optimize your campaign for brand impact over strictly performance metrics.
You can then choose to bid either for an impression or a view. We define a video view as a user watching the video for 2 seconds or more, or if they unmute the video.
When you get to the the individual Ad setup page, the format will default to “Video Ad.”
