Conversion optimization is an ad delivery method that enables Quora's ad system to show ads to people who are most likely to take the conversion action you want them to take. For example, if you want to get app installs and you choose to optimize for conversions, we will show ads to people who are most likely to install your app.
In order to use this method of ad delivery, you need to be using Quora's Pixel to define and track conversion events on your site, or you need to be using a mobile measurement partner integrated with Quora to optimize for app installs.
When you choose to optimize for conversions, you will define a target cost per action that the system uses as input for your bids. You will be charged on a per impression basis, and actual cost per action may differ from your target.
If you currently cannot select “Optimize for conversions” you will need to:
- make sure you are running a Conversions or App Installs campaign
- confirm you have the Quora Pixel setup to track the conversion event you want to optimize towards
